Getting ready to start the process of getting credentialed with insurance panels? Check out these 5 common credentialing mistakes to avoid during the process.
5 Common Credentialing Mistakes
  1.  When applying for participation with a group, the Individual NPI and the Group NPI are mistakenly entered on the wrong line
  2. Filling in the wrong remittance name when completing the billing section.  Use the legal business name shown on the W-9
  3. Forms are not filled out completely, all sections and boxes should be completed.  When not applicable to the provider, be sure to write in N/A, don’t leave blank unless the form states to.
  4. The provider signs their name(s) in the wrong place on the form.
  5. CAQH accounts are not kept current with personal addresses, practice locations, and renewed documents.
